Host/Hostess

Host/Hostess:

The Host/Hostess plays a key role in ensuring every guest receives an EXTRAORDINARY experience at Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing the waitlist, and ensuring efficient and thoughtful seating. Hosts/Hostesses must consistently follow Mister O1 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for greeting, seating, cleanliness, and guest interaction while maintaining a warm, friendly, and professional presence at all times.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

Guest Experience:

• Promote and act in accordance with the mission and values of Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza.
• Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and thank them as they depart.
• Open the front door for guests when possible.
• Provide menus and inform guests of their server’s name upon seating.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns during slow periods (while never leaving the host stand unattended).

Seating & Waitlist Management:

• Record guest names and party sizes accurately.
• Provide wait-time estimates when immediate seating is unavailable.
• Assign tables according to guest needs and server rotation.
• Manage the waitlist using the Toast Waitlist system.
• Notify guests via text message when their table becomes available.

Communication & Coordination:

• Maintain constant communication with management, servers, bussers, and guests.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, or transfer calls as needed.
• Relay messages promptly to servers and support staff.
• Inform guests of restaurant specialties and features.
• Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as necessary.

• Schedule Requirements: Nights, Weekends, and Holidays (Required)
• Ipad
• Waitlist system

All employees are expected to deliver service that exceeds guest expectations. This includes professionalism, respect, flexibility, and a positive “can-do” attitude. Team members must be adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospitality experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests and the public.
