Restaurant steward for Hotel Restaurant. Shift is: Mornings, Evenings and weekends, plus major holidays.
JOB BRIEF
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, dishware, and other equipment routinely used in the kitchen.
· Load and unload dishwashing machines.
· Wash specific items by hand (wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china).
· Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.
· Clean large equipment as assigned.
· Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours.
· Maintain cleaning supplies stock (detergents, chemicals) and inform Executive Chef when supplies are low.
· Check operation and washing machines and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
· Remove trash and garbage daily.
· Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
· Work experience as a lead steward
· Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
· Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
· Time management skills
· Attention to detail and sanitation rules
· Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
· High school diploma is a plus
