Court Administration is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and professional Pretrial Services Officer to join our team in beautiful Key West, Florida —a city where vibrant island life meets meaningful public service.

As a Pretrial Services Officer , you'll play a key role in the justice system, helping ensure fairness and accountability from the very start of the criminal process. Summary:

This is a mid-level position with the Pretrial Services Program. The individual holding this position is primarily responsible for the assessment and supervision of pretrial defendants, managing the defendant check-in system, scheduling client urinalysis, greeting all visitors to the pretrial services office and directing them to the appropriate staff. This position also includes screening and interviewing defendants for his/her First Appearance hearing and attending First Appearance hearings to report assessment results and recommendations to the Court.

Work Schedule:

• Temporary Training Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Permanent Schedule (Post-Training):
• Friday-Tuesday (Wednesday and Thursday off)
• Weekdays: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Weekends: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university OR
• One to two years of related experience and/or training OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential
