Summary:
The Private Banking Service Specialist I provides administrative support for one or more Private Banking Relationship Managers and is responsible for the day to day activities and interaction between the client and Huntington, in terms of the establishment, documentation and maintenance of the relationship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day to day activities and interaction between the client and Huntington in terms of establishment, documentation, maintenance and servicing of the relationship.
- Services customers by providing detailed information on specific accounts and building rapport.
- Works directly with the client and/or relationship manager to obtain financial information or other documentation needed for new accounts, loans and servicing requests.
- Responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing and resolving complex problems with accounts.
- Builds an effective rapport with clients and Huntington personnel.
- Services customers by providing detailed information on specific accounts.
- Researches and resolves complex problems regarding service activities and operational issues.
- Cross sells bank products and services including referring customers to appropriate personnel.
- Assists the Private Banking Relationship Manager by processing and maintaining documentation, resolving discrepancies, and preparing for meetings and presentations.
- Prepares various internal reports, memos and correspondence.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of products, services, departmental systems and related technology, policies and procedures. Duties may also include typing, answering telephones, filing, and other duties as assigned.
- NOTE: This position is considered to be a Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act and Loan Originator under the Truth in Lending Act. Registration and additional qualifications required.

Basic Qualifications:
- 1 + year of personal or business banking, commercial banking or consumer lending experience
- 1+ year customer service in banking or financial services
OR
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ year customer service in banking or financial services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Microsoft suite proficient
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Excellent Customer Service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Administrative experience with financial services industry
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) ( No = eligible for overtime pay)
