School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

AB Staffing Solutions is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in Okeechobee, FL for the 2025–2026 academic year. If you’re passionate about helping students build confidence and communication skills, we’d love to meet you.

Position Details:

• Location: Okeechobee, FL (easy commute from Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, and surrounding areas)
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week.
• Schedule: Follows the school district calendar.
• Contract: Full 2025–2026 school year.
• Pay Range: $1,400–$1,600 per week (W2).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide speech and language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Support screenings, evaluations, and IEP implementation.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to meet student goals.
• Document progress, collect data, and maintain student records.
• Create fun, engaging, and effective learning environments.

Requirements:

• Active Florida SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• CPR/BLS Cert.
• At least one year of recent relevant experience preferred.
• School and IEP experience is preferred but not required.
• Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
