The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, credit card account administration and maintaining backup schedules. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills who seek continual process improvement. Responsibilities:
- Transaction entry
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank Matching
Journal Entries. - Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Banking Transfers including Positive Pay files, NACHA files
- Month-end close process and preparation financial reports
- Prepare & maintain Backup Schedules & Documentation
- Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, are accurate and timely
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance; coordinates with outside auditors and compilation of reports and backup needed for the external audit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Proficient in Quickbooks Enterprise and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Expert level Excel – using vLookups and Pivot tables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
