The Accounting Reconciliation Specialist supports daily and monthly accounting operations within a multi-location healthcare organization. This role is primarily responsible for revenue, cash, and account reconciliations and plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple providers and entities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Revenue & Cash Operations

• Perform daily reconciliation of accounts receivable receipts for a 52-provider, four-location healthcare operation
• Prepare and distribute daily cash reports
• Process and reconcile daily check deposits
• Reconcile daily credit card purchase activity
• Perform weekly reconciliation of credit card revenue

Monthly Accounting & Reconciliations

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for select Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts in QuickBooks
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution in a timely manner

Banking & Cash Controls

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for twelve (12) bank accounts
• Support cash flow tracking and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls related to cash handling and deposits

Accounts Payable – Affiliated Real Estate Entities

• Process and support accounts payable for two affiliated real estate entities
• Ensure invoices are properly coded, documented, and processed timely

Systems & Process Support

• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
• Follow established accounting procedures and healthcare compliance standards
• Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with internal departments and external accountants as needed

Requirements

Required

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Two (2) to four (4) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience with reconciliations and high-volume transactions
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily and monthly deadlines

Preferred

• Healthcare or medical practice accounting experience
• Experience supporting multi-location operations
• Exposure to insurance reimbursements or provider-based revenue
• Real estate accounting exposure
