Accounting Reconciliation Specialist

The Accounting Reconciliation Specialist supports daily and monthly accounting operations within a multi-location healthcare organization. This role is primarily responsible for revenue, cash, and account reconciliations and plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple providers and entities.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Revenue & Cash Operations
- Perform daily reconciliation of accounts receivable receipts for a 52-provider, four-location healthcare operation
- Prepare and distribute daily cash reports
- Process and reconcile daily check deposits
- Reconcile daily credit card purchase activity
- Perform weekly reconciliation of credit card revenue
Monthly Accounting & Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for select Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts in QuickBooks
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution in a timely manner
Banking & Cash Controls
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for twelve (12) bank accounts
- Support cash flow tracking and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls related to cash handling and deposits
Accounts Payable – Affiliated Real Estate Entities
- Process and support accounts payable for two affiliated real estate entities
- Ensure invoices are properly coded, documented, and processed timely
Systems & Process Support
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
- Follow established accounting procedures and healthcare compliance standards
- Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with internal departments and external accountants as needed
Requirements
Required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Two (2) to four (4) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience with reconciliations and high-volume transactions
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily and monthly deadlines
Preferred
- Healthcare or medical practice accounting experience
- Experience supporting multi-location operations
- Exposure to insurance reimbursements or provider-based revenue
- Real estate accounting exposure
