Media Director
You’ve mastered media. Now build something that matters.
APPLY HERE:Marketing for Change Co. is an independent national advertising firm propelled by behavioral science and focused on social change. We are seeking a Media Director who is a recognized leader in media and exposure—and ready to scale our planning, buying and earned exposure practice to a new level.
This is a senior role for an entrepreneurial strategist who understands how media can drive behavior and deliver value to clients pursuing something bigger than the next sale.
Why This Role Matters:
We believe media can be a catalyst, not simply a service offering. As Media Director, you’ll shape how research-driven strategies show up in the real world, leading a portfolio of regional, state and national campaigns that influence how people think, feel, and act. You’ll sit at the intersection of behavioral insight, creative storytelling, and smart media investment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and evolve M4C’s Media & Exposure (M&E) Center to drive real change, along with the growth of your team, agency profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the agency’s go-to authority in media, with deep expertise across specialized channels, and exposure strategies.
- Apply the agency’s Behavioral Determinants Framework in new and creative ways across the media landscape to impact behavior online and in real life.
- Lead data-driven decision-making, aligning strategy with real-time insights, to maximize value and deliver impactful ad campaigns.
- Use AI and automation to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase the value of media investments.
- Lead new business efforts, helping the M&E Center meet annual growth targets.
- Elevate M4C’s media planning profile through thought leadership—publishing, speaking, and industry participation.
- Collaborate with finance, account and creative teams to optimize campaigns and exceed goals.

What We Are Seeking:
- A track record as a media leader, not just a media manager.
- Experience running media operations at scale, with financial accountability across a $15M+ portfolio.
- Ambition to define a forward-looking path and scale our media business.
- Fluency in modern media tools, platforms, AI, and automation.
- Confidence representing an agency with clients, partners, and the industry.
- Sophisticated negotiation skills.
- A deliberately developmental leader of a high-performing team who champions a learning culture.
- Desire to use your media expertise to make a real difference.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience, with an expected range between $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
About Marketing for Change
We are an advertising agency that leverages the power of social psychology, neuroscience and behavioral economics to advance social causes. Founded in 2005, Marketing for Change helps foundations, nonprofits, governments and companies “do good better.”
Our 30-plus team includes copywriters, filmmakers, designers, researchers, developers and strategists — not to mention musicians, artists, podcasters, kayakers, and mountaineers. Because that part of life is just as important as work. Our work hubs are located in Orlando and just outside Washington, DC, and we very much prefer to hire people willing to locate in those areas. We are mostly a hybrid workforce with staff working together in-person at least one day a week because we value the fun and collaboration that allows.
Some of the perks:
- We care about each other. We check in. We advocate and cover for each other. We cheer each other on. And we like to hang out.
- We offer a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, sick and holiday leave, 401(k) matching contributions, and paid parental leave. We offer a range of health plans including PPO and HSA healthcare, as well as dental, disability and life insurance.
- We are a deliberately developmental workplace. That means we will help you develop and pursue professional goals that match your life goals and purpose.
- We prioritize balance and flexibility. We are at our desks most days for 8 hours, not 10. We are open to schedule adjustments and flexible schedules.
- We are a flat organization. Everyone’s ideas are valued. Anyone can spearhead a new company initiative or make change.
- We care about social change . We show up each day as part of a fun and friendly work culture to do inspiring work that makes the world a better place.
APPLY HERE:
Marketing for Change is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe staff diversity enhances our work. We consider applicants regardless of race, religion, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
