Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

. This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment while working alongside a team of experienced professionals.
As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing a diverse range of medical emergencies. This position is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care, impacting their health outcomes significantly.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in emergency situations
- Perform necessary diagnostic procedures and interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide immediate care in life-threatening situations
- Consult with specialists as needed for complex cases
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and treatments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Licensure in the state of Florida
- Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine (preferred)
Flexible Schedule: Day, night, or weekend shifts
No call requirement
Shifts available at both the hospital and free-standing EDs
Must be board-certified
