Venesco, LLC is hiring a Pharmacist to provide services at Naval Hospital Pensacola and outlying clinics. Pharmacists will provide valuable services to active-duty service members and their dependents.

Hours: Will work up to 80 hours per two-week period between the hours of 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Duties Include:

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
• Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
• Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.
• Perform efficiently in Basic Life Support patient situations following established protocols, remain calm, inform appropriate persons, and efficiently document events. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions. Notify supervisor, director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.
• Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program. Participate in meetings to review and evaluate care provided to patients, identify opportunities for improvement in the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when concerns exist.
• Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.
• Participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Department Head.
• Exercise appropriate clinical delegation of tasks and duties in the direction and coordination of health care team members, patient care, and clinic activities.
• Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinical directives and prepare records and reports as required. All records and reports must be legible. Abbreviations must be only those listed as approved by local/organizational instructions/regulations/protocols.

• Degree/Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy /Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
• Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
