Audiologist Per Diem
- Performs assessment to determine the presence or absence of hearing disorders to support medical management
- Plans and conducts rehabilitative services to treat hearing disorders, including selection, orientation, and monitoring of amplification devices to maximize auditory access and function to meet functional auditory goals of the patient/family
- Practices family-centered care by working in partnership with caregivers and patients to encourage and empower their active participation in the care plan
- Completes accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with professional and compliance standards to best reflect the patient's status and needs, support revenue cycle and facilitate communication for continuity of care
- Demonstrates responsible actions and initiative to positively impact patient access to care and contribute to the department’s financial performance
- Provides education and mentoring for students, interns, residents, observers, volunteers and/or staff to support their development
- Develops and/or implements clinical activities which improve or expand audiology services, within the department and/or hospital system, to benefit patient care
- Master's degree
- Licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Florida
- Certification as an Audiologist by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) within 12 months of employment
