Medical Assistant/Scribe
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Medical Assistant – Scribe to join our integrative medical practice. This essential role ensures patient appointments run seamlessly by preparing medical documentation, assisting with clinical support tasks, and acting as the physician’s scribe during consultations. You will play a vital part in maintaining patient flow, accuracy of records, and upholding the highest standards of care. Who we are:
LifeWorks Wellness Center is one of the largest integrated practices in the U.S. Patients travel from all over the world to receive our holistic, life-changing treatments for chronic health conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Document the doctor’s notes during consultations into EMRs in real time.
- Prepare patient charts with all relevant documentation prior to appointments (e.g., test results, scans, medical reports).
- Maintain full stock of office and medical supplies, including supplements and testing tools.
- Set up and clean rooms between patient appointments.
- Coordinate with RNs to gather necessary patient information for the doctor.
- Assist with muscle testing as required by the doctor.
- Ensure complete and accurate charting for RNs to write scripts, order tests, and coordinate care.
- Assist the RN team when the doctor is out of the office.
- Adhere to clinic standards, policies, and legal regulations to protect the integrity of the practice and patient confidentiality.
- Contribute to a safe and professional work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
- 2+ years of medical assistant experience.
- Previous experience working as a scribe is required.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Type at least 45 WPM.
- Excellent computer and data entry skills.
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain confidentiality.
- All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check & drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- Experience in alternative or holistic medicine is a plus.
Compensation:
$22-$24 per hour Hours: This is a full-time hourly position with a 37.5 hour work week in the office, Monday-Friday. Benefits:
