About the Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care, assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced operating room environment. Candidates must have strong orthopedic surgical experience and the ability to adapt to different OR settings as floating may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide circulating nursing support during surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and equipment prior to procedures.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure safety and stability.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to surgical safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the Epic EMR system .
• Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Float to other operating rooms within sister campuses if needed.

Requirements

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience .
• Strong Orthopedic surgical experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred .
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and adapt to different OR teams.

Education & Certifications:

• Active RN license in Florida or Compact (NLC) License required at time of submission.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Degree accreditation must be included in profile or candidate must have 5+ years of experience.
