Director of Commercial Roofing
Job Title: Vice President / Director of Commercial Roofing Operations (Re-Roof & Service Division)

Reports To: Florida Market Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned commercial roofing leader to launch and scale our new Commercial Re-Roof and Service Division in Florida. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for an industry veteran with 20+ years of experience who can operate autonomously, drive revenue growth, and build infrastructure from the ground up.
The ideal candidate is a proven commercial roofing professional with an established book of business, deep production and sales relationships, and the ability to estimate, sell, and oversee projects independently. This leader will collaborate closely with the Florida Market Manager while building the foundation for a scalable service and production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the commercial re-roof and service division strategy.
- Establish operational processes, financial controls, and performance metrics for sustainable growth.
- Partner with the Florida Market Manager to align divisional goals with company objectives.
- Operate with minimal oversight while delivering measurable revenue and margin performance.
- Leverage existing industry relationships and book of business to generate immediate revenue opportunities.
- Identify, pursue, and close new commercial re-roof and service contracts.
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and scope packages for commercial roofing projects.
- Conduct client meetings, site walks, and contract negotiations.
- Develop strategic relationships with property managers, general contractors, building owners, and facility managers.
- Perform accurate takeoffs, material analysis, labor forecasting, and cost estimating.
- Sell, secure, and manage projects from award through completion.
- Oversee scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and job cost management.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company safety and quality standards.
- Launch and scale the commercial service division focused on maintenance, repairs, and emergency response.
- Establish recurring revenue through preventative maintenance programs and service agreements.
- Build scalable processes and systems to support long-term growth.
- Recruit, hire, and develop service technicians, project managers, and production staff once revenue benchmarks are achieved (“escape velocity”).
- Create a culture of accountability, safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop training standards and operational procedures for sustained division growth.
Qualifications
- 20+ years of commercial roofing experience, with a strong emphasis in re-roof and service.
- Demonstrated success in leadership roles within commercial roofing operations.
- Proven ability to independently estimate, sell, and manage commercial roofing projects.
- Established book of business and industry relationships within the Florida market preferred.
- Deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR, Metal, Coatings).
- Strong financial acumen, including job costing, margin control, and P&L awareness.
- Experience building and leading high-performing service or production teams.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
