New Restaurant - Bartender

We are looking for a Restaurant Bartender to join the opening team of Julene at The Sunny Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach.

The Sunny is a new oceanfront hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, marking the transformation of the historic Newport Beachside Hotel into a modern beachfront destination. The 340-room property blends thoughtful design with a strong food and beverage program, multiple dining concepts, and a series of lively social spaces designed for both guests and the local community.

Family-owned for three generations, the property builds on decades of hospitality on one of South Florida’s most storied beachfront sites. With a completely refreshed guest experience and an ambitious culinary program, The Sunny represents a new chapter for this longtime Sunny Isles Beach landmark.

Julene will serve as the hotel’s signature restaurant and a cornerstone of its food and beverage program. A refined yet approachable neighborhood restaurant, Julene focuses on familiar American cooking executed at a high level—celebrating dishes people crave, prepared with care and confidence. Designed to feel lively and welcoming, Julene is intended to become a true gathering place for Miami—equally loved by hotel guests and local regulars alike.

Job Description:

A Bartender will prepare and mix beverages for guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner according to standards. Promote and up-sell drinks and drink promotions. Will practice prudent portion controls, proper set up of the bar according to standards, and keep sufficient inventories, and follow proper closing procedures. Must adhere to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests, ensuring all laws are followed.

What You’ll Do:

Responsibilities:

· Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.

· Guide guests through the menu, providing recommendations and answering any questions.

· Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.

· Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.

· Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to enhance their dining experience.

· Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area.

· Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.

· Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications:

· Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.

· Display knowledge of drink recipes, drink and wine merchandising specials.

· Read, write and speak English fluently.

· Working knowledge of drink service and bar terminology.

· Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.

· Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.

· Prefer one year of bartending experience.

· No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others
