We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA) to join the elite Lee Health Heart Institute with our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team!

Position Information:

The Heart Institute is growing! We are expanding to support the community and adding to our already robust interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery service lines. The right candidate will have experience working in an operating room setting in an advanced provider and/or certified first-assist role. Cardiothoracic Surgery experience is a must as this role may include endovascular vein harvesting, room and patient prep, line placement and other responsibilities specific to the operating room environment.

• Located at Shipley Cardiothoracic Surgery Center
• Scheduled procedures are Monday through Friday
• Call coverage including nights and weekends on rotation as part of a team
• EPIC EHR and Dragon Dictation for both inpatient and outpatient settings

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current, active certification
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required ACLS may be required as identified/area of specialty.
• Physician Assistant License Required in the State of Florida; Board-Certified as PA
• Must meet credentialing requirements as established by the LMHS Medical Staff Services department. Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
