Marine Fueling Specialist (PIC)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the safe and compliant transfer of marine fuel from tanker trucks to various vessels in South Florida.
• The Marine Fueling Specialist is responsible for the overall safety and compliance of fuel transfer operations, ensuring that all procedures are followed and that risks are minimized.
• The specialist must be knowledgeable about local, state, and federal regulations regarding marine fuel operations and adhere to them.
• The Marine Fueling Specialist is responsible for operating and maintaining fueling equipment, performing routine safety inspections, and maintaining various pieces of the fueling equipment.
• The role requires assistance with the planning, execution, and documentation of fuel delivery operations for marine vessels.
• As the specialist, you will address any issues or challenges that arise during fuel delivery operations, including fuel quality, delivery delays, equipment malfunctions, and fuel spills.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively coordinate with chief engineers, truck drivers, port authorities, and dispatch management.
• Valid and clean Class E driver's license.
• Must possess the ability to pull and maneuver flatbed trailers up to twenty feet long.
• Up-to-date TWIC card.
• Must be able to demonstrate and apply basic mechanical principles. Mechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 75lbs.
• Must be willing to routinely work Weekends along with holidays when necessary.
