Electrical Commissioning Agent II
Join a leading team specializing in mission-critical data center projects as an Electrical Commissioning Agent II. This role is REMOTE based out of where you are located in the U.S. but requires up to 75% travel to project sites around the United States. (Expenses fully covered for travel)
This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical systems that power state-of-the-art data centers. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex systems, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to the success of high-profile projects. Candidates will play a key role in the commissioning process, from reviewing design packages to hands-on testing and documentation, while interfacing with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for electrical systems in data centers, including generators, switchgear, UPS, and PDUs.
- Review and evaluate design packages to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Level 1–5 commissioning tests.
- Conduct integrated system and load bank testing to validate system performance and reliability.
- Develop detailed commissioning documentation, including O&M manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams throughout the commissioning process.
- Support field troubleshooting and problem resolution for electrical systems during commissioning.
- Ensure all systems are tested, validated, and operating at peak efficiency in accordance with IEEE/ASHRAE standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Hands-on experience with electrical equipment testing.
- Strong documentation and technical report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with IEEE and ASHRAE standards.
- Ability to support field troubleshooting and resolve technical issues.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to work in active construction and critical facility environments.
