Gatehouse Attendant

Overview:

The Gatehouse Attendant is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our community by monitoring and controlling access to the property. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and alert in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Access Control:
  • Greet all visitors, residents, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify identification and authorization of all individuals seeking entry.
  • Monitor and control access to the property, including pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
  • Issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records of all entries and exits.
• Security:
  • Maintain a high level of vigilance and report any suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the gatehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations, including parking restrictions and curfew hours.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals, including residents, guests, and vendors.
  • Answer questions and provide information about the community.
  • Resolve issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including logs, incident reports, and visitor lists.
  • Complete daily reports and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
