Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a Financial Controller to join our dynamic team based in Boca Raton, specializing in property management, start-ups, and diverse investment portfolios. This pivotal role demands a professional who is meticulously detail-oriented and deeply experienced in the realms of finance, administration, and operations. This individual must be a versatile and strategic thinker who thrives on the unique challenges and opportunities presented by a multi-faceted family office environment. The ideal candidate will be an expert in accounting and bookkeeping, committed to the highest standards of office administration with a focus on maintaining flawless business records across our varied business activities.
Core Responsibilities:
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
- Provide comprehensive accounting services specifically tailored to the needs of the family office, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial records.
- Perform detailed bookkeeping duties, including maintenance of general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
Management and Oversight:
- Ensure proper reporting and accounting of the family office's investments.
- Collaborate closely with auditors during financial reviews and audits, providing the audit working papers necessary, documentation, and insights into financial practices.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Take responsibility for the preparation of financial statements, including monthly and annual reports that reflect the family office's fiscal standing.
- Establish and maintain internal controls and standard operating procedures for financial transactions and record-keeping.
Administrative Functions:
- Manage office administration related to the financial and general business operations of the family office, ensuring seamless execution of administrative tasks.
Compliance and Communication:
- Monitor adherence to laws and regulations pertinent to the family office's operations and asset management activities.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Products
- Exceptional attention to detail and capable of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA designation is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of small business operations and challenges.
- Familiarity with relevant tax regulation
- Strong understanding of management company accounting
- Experience providing accounting services for a family office or similar environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
