Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced, qualified Accountant to provide accounting and financial services to BTG/PRV Group. The Staff Accountant will provide accounting support to the Accounting Manager. This person will record daily and monthly transactional activity in NetSuite while adhering to GAAP and BTG/PRV Group accounting policies that include record preparation, research, and reporting related to, but not limited to, general ledger activities, month-end closing activities, reconciliation of accounts as directed, financial-related reports, schedules, and audits. Assignment of special projects by the Accounting Manager.

Full Job Description

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.


• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.


• Manage month-end close process


• Prepare monthly journal entries


• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.


• Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly and quarterly state sales taxes.


• Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including consolidations.


• Review payroll hours and printing checks


• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential


• Work with AR, AP, and other departments as needed to resolve issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Bachelor degree in accounting is required.


• 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience is preferred.


• US GAAP knowledge is required.


• Netsuite knowledge is preferred


• Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables.


• Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges.


• Team Player, able to assist members of the team with questions.
