Black Prong Bar & Grill is looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Busser to join our team! This hybrid role is essential to creating a seamless dining experience for our guests by welcoming and seating them promptly while ensuring tables are cleared and reset efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Hosting Duties:- Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant's system.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Maintain a well-organized and efficient seating rotation.
- Answer phone calls and assist with takeout orders when necessary.
- Assist servers with guest needs as required.
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently between guests.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors and service stations.
- Assist with refilling water glasses and bringing additional table settings as needed.
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils in a timely manner.
- Support the service staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
