Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Tax Manager to lead and expand our Tax Department.

This is not a traditional tax preparation role — it’s a strategic leadership position responsible for directing all tax operations, ensuring compliance, developing new systems and workflows, and managing a team of tax professionals to deliver precision and excellence across all client filings.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of professional tax experience managing complex business, personal, and trust filings and is confident leading multi-entity strategies and tax amendments. This person thrives in a leadership environment, values accuracy and innovation, and is ready to build a legacy within Cummins Worldwide for the next decade or more.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Tax Department.

• Develop and implement strategic tax policies, planning, and forecasting initiatives.

• Supervise, train, and mentor staff across multiple tax functions.

• Conduct and review corporate, personal, and trust tax filings for high-net-worth clients.

• Approve and sign off on all final tax filings and amendments.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. federal and state tax laws and internal company policies.

Core Competencies

Strategic Tax Leadership

• 8+ years of professional tax experience in both preparation and strategy.

• Proven experience leading a team of tax professionals.

• Advanced knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation.

• Strong understanding of tax law application and amendment processes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of translating complex tax concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients and executives.
