Project Engineer, Water Resources Modeling

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, Water Resources Modeler in the Tampa Bay, Florida area with one of our best full service Civil Engineering clients.

Overview

As a Water Resources Engineer you will lead stormwater and drainage modeling projects (both public and private sector) throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools, and permitting experience with FDOT, FDEP, and Water Management Districts.

Experience

·4 to 10 years of stormwater, drainage modeling experience in Florida.

· Must be a FL PE (or ability to obtains within 6 months).

· Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) is a plus

· Working knowledge and experience of standards, guidelines, rules/regulations and local permitting processes with FDOT, ERP and Water Management Districts.

· Technical skills: ICPR (ICPR4 Stormwise), EPA SWMM, ArcGIS and HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for modeling of major infrastructure projects, FDOT roadway improvements projects and municipal drainage improvements projects. You will be developing hydrologic/hydraulic models for stormwater systems, floodplain studies, roadway drainage, and watershed planning. You will be responsible for preparing drainage reports, stormwater master plans, and modeling. You will be working with regulatory agencies (FDOT, FDEP, SFWMD, SJRWMD, SWFWMD…) to support permit applications and approvals.
