Watch Technician – Case Preparation Specialist (Miami, FL)

We are seeking an experienced Watch Technician / Case Prep Specialist to join our established watch repair shop in Miami, Florida .

This role focuses on case preparation and final assembly , supporting our watchmakers and polishers throughout the service process. The position requires experience handling watches and working with small precision components, but does not require the ability to service or overhaul movements like a full watchmaker .

Position Overview:
The Case Prep Technician is responsible for carefully disassembling watches prior to service and polishing, organizing all components for the watchmakers, and reassembling the watch once the movement service and refinishing work are complete.

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble watches prior to service (remove bracelet/strap, caseback, crown/stem, movement, crystals, and gaskets)
• Prepare cases and components for polishing and refinishing
• Organize and safely store movements and parts during the repair process
• Reassemble watches after service and polishing
• Replace case gaskets and perform basic sealing tasks
• Install bracelets, straps, and clasps
• Perform basic quality control checks before watches are returned to customers

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a watch repair shop in a case prep or watch technician role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle small precision components
• Steady hands and excellent manual dexterity
• Familiarity with watch case construction and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards

Compensation:

• Base salary plus incentives with earning potential exceeding $74,000 per year
