About This Role

We're seeking a Retail Sales Associate who can help customers achieve their cycling goals. In this role, you'll be responsible for discovering customers' needs, providing exceptional service, and exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced and welcoming environment.

Your duties will include interacting with customers, educating them on bicycles and related products, and assisting with daily store operations.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, people-oriented, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a passion for cycling and a proactive attitude.

Bicycle sales experience is a plus, but we're open to all ages and levels of experience.

The ideal candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including:

• Greeting customers and utilizing the sales process to understand their needs and preferences.
• Providing one-of-a-kind customer service through direct and detailed interaction.
• Processing transactions, including operating cash registers and handling payments.
• Maintaining product knowledge, including sales, promotions, and security practices.
• Installing and checking vehicle rack systems.
• Describing and demonstrating products to customers.
• Merchandising products and maintaining store appearance.
• Performing inventory tasks and preparing merchandise for purchase or rental.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements include:

• Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers.
• Interest in developing own skills and knowledge.
• Previous bike shop sales experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience preferred working as a retail sales associate.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Ability to periodically lift 40 pounds.
• Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience.

While not required, it's a plus if you have experience with:

• Systems and tools like handheld computer devices and POS software.
• Tools such as adjustable wrenches, barcode scanners, and cash registers.
• Software such as Microsoft Word and Windows.
