Headset Technician

You in This Role  In this role, you’ll assemble, inspect, and prepare FPV headset components used in real-world drone operations. This is hands-on, detail-driven work that demands consistency, focus, and strict adherence to work instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Quality isn’t a nice-to-have—it’s the standard. These headsets support mission-critical drone applications, not consumer toys.

A Day in the Life

• Assemble FPV headset components according to documented work instructions

• Perform repetitive, hands-on assembly tasks with precision and consistency

• Inspect individual parts and finished products to identify defects or quality issues

• Use hand tools and basic electronic testing equipment

• Meet daily production schedules and output targets

• Accurately document completed work, scrap, and rework

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation

• Escalate quality concerns or equipment issues to supervisors promptly

• Follow all safety, quality, and company policies at all times

• Deliver high-quality FPV headset assemblies that support real-world drone operations

• Take ownership of workmanship and quality at your workstation—no hand-offs, no excuses

• Support production efficiency by staying focused, reliable, and output-driven

• Help prevent defects and rework by catching issues early and speaking up

• Contribute to a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

• Adapt quickly to production changes, updated instructions, or shifting priorities

• Represent American manufacturing standards through consistency and attention to detail

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality. Ability to follow detailed work instructions, perform hands-on, repetitive assembly, and meet production expectations. Willingness to comply with ESD, safety, and quality standards. Manufacturing or electronics experience is a plus but not required.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to perform detailed, repetitive tasks

• Strong hand-eye coordination

• Ability to follow written and visual instructions

• Basic math skills

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods

Preferred:

• Electronics or manufacturing assembly experience

• Experience with small components or soldering

• Familiarity with production environments

• Photonics course certificates/degree programs and or enrollment preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate of pay: $24.00

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is performed in a manufacturing and electronics assembly environment where electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls are required. Employees will work with sensitive electronic components and must always follow established ESD safety protocols.

The work setting may be fast-paced and requires sustained focus, precision, and attention to detail. The environment includes the use of hand tools, electronic testing equipment, and designated ESD-safe workstations.

Physical and environmental requirements include:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements

• Ability to handle small, delicate electronic components

• Ability to visually inspect components and assemblies, including close-up detail work

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to work in a production environment with moderate noise levels

• Ability and willingness to comply with all ESD controls, including use of wrist straps, mats, grounding equipment, and other required PPE
