About the Opportunity:

Acara is currently seeking a Material Handler for our client, a leading organization in the defense & aerospace sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while developing your professional expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping, receiving and cycle counting.

What You'll Do:

• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to identify materials to transport
• Open containers using steel cutters, a crowbar, a claw hammer, or other hand tools
• Load materials to and from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
• Load materials to and from vehicles
• Use hand tools to install strapping, bracing, or padding to protect materials in transit
• Transport materials from storage or worksites to designated areas-including the manufacturing floor-by use of hand truck, electric dolly, or another device
• Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
• Attach tags or labels to materials (or otherwise mark information)

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 year of stockroom / warehouse experience (receiving, put-away, picking, staging)
• Minimum 1 year of cycle count experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a stand up forklift

What Sets You Apart:

• Strong decision-making and leadership skills
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Inventory systems experience (ERP, scanners, cycle counts)
• Ability to stay focused, work independently, and finish assigned work without constant direction

Additional Information:

• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
