Summer in Ministry Internship - Solid Rock SDA Church
Student Minister will perform his or her assignments under the direction of the supervising pastor of Local Church and ministerial director of Local Conference.
Skills, Education, and Experience Required:
- Student Minister is a theology or pastoral care major at Southern Adventist University who, as a general rule, has completed his or her junior year of ministerial training.
- He or she shall participate in this summer internship in ministry in cooperation with the other entities that are parties to this Agreement for a period of no fewer than eight weeks (8) and no more than twelve (12) weeks, commencing on and concluding on the dates agreed to on the last page of this employment agreement.
Job Responsibilities:
The primary tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Finding prospects for and giving Bible studies.
- Visiting active and inactive members, prospective members, and hospitalized members.
- Planning, conducting, and/or participating in evangelistic outreach activities.
- Preaching for regular church service or for youth services.
- Attending church board and other church administrative committee meetings.
- Planning worship services.
- Planning, organizing, and participating in youth ministry activities.
