Overview

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and client-focused Guardianship Paralegal with experience handling Florida guardianship matters. This role requires strong knowledge of statutory deadlines, court procedures, and annual reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and confident managing complex files while maintaining a high level of client service.

Responsibilities

  • Draft guardianship petitions, inventories, annual plans, annual accountings, and related pleadings in compliance with Florida law
  • Manage court deadlines, hearing scheduling, and statutory reporting obligations
  • Prepare hearing notebooks and assist attorneys with evidentiary preparation
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
  • Communicate professionally with clients, examining committees, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Coordinate service of process and track required filings
  • Ensure compliance with all guardianship reporting requirements
  • Manage multiple active matters and prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Florida Guardianship Paralegal
  • Strong working knowledge of Florida guardianship statutes and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional phone etiquette and client service mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office
