POSITION TITLE: Senior Circulation Clerk

JOB LOCATION: Library City of Zephyrhills

SALARY RANGE: Starting Salary: $36,117.90 / $17.36/hr.

Pay Grade Z-153

Non-Exempt

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree from an accredited university or college in education or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public library service or bookstore is a plus.
• A comparable amount of directly related experience may be substituted at the City’s discretion.
• Working knowledge of computer and technology systems.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Responsible for supervising and maintaining routine circulation, shelf maintenance, and clerical functions around the lending of library books and materials.
• Supervise and provide the full range of circulation desk duties using a collection management system including reconciling customer accounts with fees and borrowed materials.
• Responsible for replacement of outdated and/or damaged books.
• Responsible for weekly cash reports.
• Compile and maintain records relating to circulation withdrawals, room-usage and other statistics.
• Provide excellent customer service.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
The selected candidate will have a background check completed. Possession and maintenance of a current valid Florida driver license is also required before employment. Tasks completed for this position involve extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on the proven abilities of the individual selected. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
