The Marketing & Communications Strategist will support delivering communications objectives that align with the company’s integrated marketing and communications plan focused on marketing, customer and stakeholder communications. Responsible for the development, coordination, and tracking of marketing and communications initiatives in support of Peoples Gas, TECO Partners and special projects as assigned. Identifies, tracks, analyzes and reports performance analytics to develop future marketing and communications objectives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Associate degree from accredited institution
• Must maintain valid Florida driver’s license.
• 5 Years Marketing and/ or Advertising work experience in the following areas of concentration: mass and targeted advertising, social media marketing, program development, or copywriting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite using Excel, Power Point and Word, and expertise in social media marketing specifically utilizing Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required.
• Ability in reporting research results and interpreting customer needs.
• Knowledge of process improvement.
• Basic understanding of general financial feasibility of programs and services.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, develop, implement, and track integrated marketing communications tactics and budgets in support of identified company and individual performance goals, including mass advertising, targeted marketing programs, specialized promotions, and customer communications.
• Coordinates the development, planning and tracking of social/digital initiatives and programs while maintaining brand voice and ensuring clear and consistent messaging, including strong cross-functional brand and influencer partnerships to increase brand equity, perceived product value and sales conversions. Serve as a content producer who develops multimedia communications including web posts, blogs, email marketing programs and social media posts to inform, inspire, and engage internal and external audiences.
• Identify, track, analyze, and report marketing performance, usage analytics and general market research to identify trends and apply data stories to develop future marketing strategies.
• Participate in the conceptualization, design, implementation and marketing of new energy-related programs and services for residential and commercial customer segments and distribution channel partners.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE?

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertisting, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• 4 years of data-driven marketing experience including campaign performance for both customer conversion and retention
• 2 years experience with marketing products and services to commercial and residential markets.
• Working knowledge of Infor and PowerBI and how to segment customers and apply predictive analytics to support customer acquisition and retention strategies

Some travel required in-state. Extreme fast-paced environment with high expectations for success. Occasional evening or weekend work to complete. Physical ability to safely lift, carry and maneuver display exhibit materials, etc., while setting up for tradeshows and other industry events.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE REQUIREMENTS

TECO Energy and its companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our TECO Energy customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
