LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as
an Accounts Payable Specialist in Gainesville, FL. This position assists in the administrative support of purchasing, receiving, and inventory management.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
- Reviewing invoices for price and quantity discrepancies
- Matching invoices to corresponding packing slips and purchase orders
- Opening post office and interoffice courier mail daily
- Code invoices to appropriate brand, department, and product codes
- Review and verify administrative payment requests
- Enter data from all invoices, and verify and update on ongoing basis
- Request tax info for year-end 1099 processing
- Process weekly check disbursement, and manual checks as needed
- Communicate with vendors to resolve payment/invoice discrepancies
- Communicate with employees at multiple locations to resolve PO/invoice issues
- Maintain and review vendor files and statements, including deleting old vendors at year end, updating, and adding current vendors
- Work with vendors to update bills (summary bills)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively
- Associate’s degree preferred
- One (1) year of related payroll or accounting experience preferred

With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
