Azure Administrator/Infrastructure & Systems

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Administratorwith a strong background in networking, server management, and hardware infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid cloud environment, has deep familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and connectivity, and possesses hands-on experience managing enterprise-level network and server infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

Azure Cloud Administration

• • Design, configure, and maintain Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Implement and manage Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) to meet operational and security requirements
  • Monitor cloud usage, optimize costs, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations
  • Automate cloud deployments using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform

Server & Hardware Management

• • Maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows Server and/or Linux)
  • Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and replacements for on-premise systems
  • Ensure uptime and performance of data center equipment and rack-mounted systems

Networking & Security

• • Manage firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and network segmentation in hybrid environments
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols
  • Monitor network traffic for bottlenecks, anomalies, or security incidents
  • Support implementation of secure remote access and Zero Trust networking

Systems Monitoring & Performance

• • Use monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, PRTG, Zabbix, or similar) to proactively identify issues
  • Perform capacity planning and performance tuning across systems
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and inventory

Backup, Recovery & Patch Management

• • Manage backup/restore processes (Azure Backup, Veeam, etc.)
  • Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure timely patching of servers and compliance with IT security standards

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud administration
  • 7+ years of experience in server administration (Windows and/or Linux)
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking and hardware support
  • Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, ExpressRoute/VPN), and hybrid identity solutions
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (ARM, Terraform, Bicep, etc.)
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and change management

Preferred Certifications

• • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
