Staff Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position will have the responsibility of preparing monthly financial reports and commercial billings for several Schroeder Manatee Ranch (SMR) subsidiaries. This position requires an individual with strong accounting skills, a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent computer skills and the ability to work well with executive team members as well as with immediate department staff. Property Management experience preferred.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday thru Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- General ledger/journal entries
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis of financial results
- Account reconciliations and audit schedules
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation Schedules
- Bank reconciliations
- Sales tax reconciliation and remittance
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable/Cash Receipts
- Sales reporting
- Commercial billings
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets & forecasting
- Assist Corporate and Divisional Controllers with various projects/duties
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Able to work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal skills
