Established South Florida Hospitality Group - hot spot restaurant in Coral Gables, is looking for a line cook. Our reputation has been built on our warm and welcoming hospitality, which adds a touch of our unique Italian spirit to each concept. We believe that one of the greatest pleasures in life begin around the table, sharing moments and creating memories.
DescriptionAre you passionate about cooking? Do you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment? We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our team in the hospitality industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. If you have a love for culinary arts and enjoy working in a team-oriented setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Assist the kitchen team in the preparation and organizing of ingredients for service.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation and timely service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures while adhering to food handling and storage guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- At least 2 years of experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high-quality food standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Food safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong background and experience in managing pasta station required
