Landscape Crew leader

Job Summary:

Hogan Landscapes, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Crew Leader to oversee and lead a team of crew members in performing high-quality landscape installation and maintenance services. This role requires strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and hands-on experience in landscape work. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of 2–5 team members on residential and commercial job sites.

• Read and interpret landscape plans, layouts, and instructions.

• Oversee and participate in tasks such as:

  • Planting trees, shrubs, and flowers

  • Sod installation

  • Mulching

  • Grading and soil preparation

  • Installation of edging, pavers, or retaining walls

  • Pruning, mowing, trimming, and weeding

• Ensure job sites are completed efficiently, safely, and to Hogan Landscapes’ quality standards.

• Coordinate daily logistics: crew assignments, equipment, and materials.

• Communicate clearly with clients, project managers, and other teams as needed.

• Maintain proper use and care of tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in landscaping, with 1+ year in a leadership role preferred.

• Knowledge of landscape installation and maintenance practices.

• Ability to read site plans and perform layout measurements.

• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Basic mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and machinery
