JOB SUMMARY: Works under the guidance and direct supervision of the Senior Program Supervisor. Functions as a Field Supervisor for a team of Family Support Workers (FSW) and ensures program objectives are met. Participates in and provides leadership in the organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Holds weekly supervision meetings with individual FSWs to discuss caseloads and best ways to provide service to participants.

  1. Ensures that program objectives and outcomes are met based on current contractual requirements.

  1. Promotes effective parent-child interaction through teachings and activities that enhance and strengthen bonding and parenting skills through the work of the Family Support Worker.

  1. Participates in quarterly record reviews, maintains required data collection. Completes quarterly Quality Assurance requirements and implements issues derived from Quality Assurance process.

  1. Works in conjunction with and coordinates with local community and social service agencies to ensure maximum utilization of resources by families in accordance with program’s objectives.

  1. Selects, supervises and trains FSW program staff. Responsible for completing employee evaluations on those directly supervised and for ensuring that an effective employee development, discipline and recognition programs are implemented within framework of Human Resources policies and procedures. Documents performance deficiencies, formulates improvement plans and administers disciplinary actions when necessary.

  1. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and is the example for contributing to positive working relationships.

  1. Manages time and resources effectively through good organization and prioritization of work by utilizing positive problem solving skills

  1. Prepares quarterly reports and submits in timely manner.

  1. Attends required meetings and trainings.

  1. Represents program on various community and/or program/organization committees.

  1. Works within the philosophy and function of The Children’s Home Network.

  1. Performs other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in a human services field

● Two years of professional case management experience or five years of progressively responsible professional case management experience working with the target population

● Supervisory experience and familiarity with the Healthy Families program preferred

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to establish trusting relationships

● Acceptance of individual differences

● Experience and willingness to work with the culturally diverse populations that are present among the site's target population

● Knowledge of infant and child development

● Ability to demonstrate reflective practice (i.e. has capacity for introspection, communicates awareness of self in relation to others, recognizes value of supervision, etc.)

● Infant mental health endorsement level I or II preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension.
  • Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance. Must be insurable under CHN’s current auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to collect and analyze data. Strong proficiency in multiple technology platforms to include Microsoft Office. Ability to adapt to situations involving interpretation of feelings, ideas or facts in terms of personal viewpoints. Ability to influence people in their options, attitudes or judgment about ideas or actions. Ability to work under stress. Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another or a different nature without loss of efficiency. Ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on different criteria or on measurable or verifiable criteria.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

Ability to use a personal computer and related office equipment.

Visual: Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, read printed materials, and to make observations of physical facilities as regards to safety.

Hearing: ability to understand and comprehend spoken dialogue in individual and group settings (with or without hearing device)

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Works within an office environment. Some travel when necessary. High level of emotional discussions, requiring self-awareness and understanding of professional boundaries.

For remote positions or when working remotely- reliable internet connection, private work space to ensure privacy and free of distractions is required.
