PeopleReady of Tampa, FL is now hiring Tarpers in Gibsonton, FL! As a tarper you will be covering loaded 45-53 ft flatbed trailers with tarps and securing the load and tarps with bungee cords and 4 inch straps per customer, company and DOT standards. Physical job that may require working indoors and outdoors and in all types of weather. May be required to safely climb onto the trailer to secure the load or straighten out straps which includes heights.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Tarper:

• Working outdoors in appropriate safety and protective equipment
• Cover flatbed loads leaving the yard. You will do this using a variety of equipment, including heavy duty tarps, straps and edge protectors to cover loads 45 to 53 feet long
• Make sure that all loads are properly secured before leaving the tarping area
• Tarping and strapping down flatbed trucks in a distribution yard
• Will be working in the elements

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Attention to detail
• Safety conscious
• Ability to work in a team/group
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs
• This position involves bending, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and climbing as needed
• Background check and drug test required
