Business Development Senior Manager (Hybrid in Miami)

The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the AVP with corporate agreement negotiations with homeports and ports of call, as well as business cases and assessment process for any new destination development projects. Main regions of focus are Caribbean, Mexico, North America. The Senior Manager will be responsible for engaging and collaborating with multiple external and internal stakeholders including government, port authorities and internally with the Deployment leaders, Maritime leaders, Government Relations leadership in the US, Latin America and Caribbean; as well as with the leadership from the Global Ports & Destinations Department.
Essential Functions:
- Interface across multiple channels internal (brands) and external (i.e. port authorities, local governments) to support advancement of multiple concurrent port development projects & preference agreement negotiations in various phases.
- Conduct financial and berth utilization analysis, collect global competitive intelligence and extract insights from various analyses in support of new development opportunities, management of existing port agreements, and development of executive leadership presentations.
- Project management of key development projects and internal approval process management of various legal agreements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business
- Strong business background
- 15 years of professional experience and 5-10 years in the cruise industry. Preferred experience in port operations either from the port authority perspective as well as the cruise line point of view.

- Business development, project management, negotiations, legal and financial acumen, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation skills.
- Strong business sense and results driven. Excellent problem solving and strategy-development skills.
- Excellent organization, operations and management skills, with impeccable reliability and strong time management and project management effectiveness.
- Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships, collaborations and interactions with senior executives, peers and teams across multiple functions/departments.
- High degree of self-motivation, tenacity and dedication, with aspirations and potential for senior general management positions
- Strong curiosity and interest in learning the cruise business and its performance drivers, and ability to quickly come up the learning curve.
- Strategic mindset, balancing short-term, more tactical needs and opportunities with long term, strategic challenges and imperatives
- English and fluent Spanish preferred
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.
Travel: More than 50% non-shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
The range for this role's base salary is $87,200 - $150,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
