Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst

The Senior Compliance Analyst is responsible for monitoring local, state, and federal regulations, as well as identifying, gathering, and analyzing key data associated with wage and hour compliance and additional compliance areas as designated. This role must follow through and ensure correction of any deficiencies that do not comply with Wage and Hour regulations. It shall also be responsible for making recommendations for policy and process improvements. Success in this position is dependent on strong analytical, report generation and computer skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; design and implementation of training as necessary; performance of gap and trend analyses; building of strong relationships with business partners while maintaining objectivity.
How You'll Shine:
Generate audit reports, analysis, and review trends to optimize payroll processes and reduce operational risk.
Monitor and report local, state and federal regulations, while working with appropriate teams to implement necessary changes within mandated deadlines.
Communicate results and recommendations on corrections for errors in entries or process, changes to system and consequences/corrective actions for associates with senior leaders using meaningful reporting through various communication tools.
Data mine
Recommend and create policy and procedure documents, partner with corporate functions to influence duties performed by various departments.
Develop audit plans, assess compliance and make recommendations for improvements
Develop and execute training for leaders based on site trends and company requirements.
What You'll Bring:
College degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to research and identify root cause.
Ability to develop approach to solutions, communicate clearly with and influence stakeholders.
Ability to assess the needs of the customer (business units) and understand the vision and growth strategy of the larger organization.
Demonstrated ability to mine data and business requirements; incorporate them into policy and procedure documents; develop audit plans to assess compliance; perform audit of processes and generate meaningful reports.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and produce quality deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Legal, Audit, and other business teams as needed.
Ability to assist with internal and external audits and investigations as necessary.
Proven analytical skills.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and to be able to work under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency with: Federal, State and Local Laws, including Wage, Hour, Leave and other time and attendance laws and regulations.
Knowledge of Company policies
A variety of software systems; Kronos preferred.
MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with dashboards or other metrics-based tools preferred.
5 years of experience with analysis and auditing.
1-2 years payroll compliance experience.
Timekeeping and Payroll systems experience preferred.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
