Senior Mechanical Estimator
Senior Plumbing Estimator
This role is full-time onsite. Please send resume to [email protected]. Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plumbing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to provide accurate cost estimates for large-scale projects, particularly in the healthcare and high-rise sectors. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical cost estimates for plumbing projects
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and objectives
- Utilize estimating software such as OST and QuickBid for efficient estimation processes
- Participate in bid reviews and provide recommendations for value engineering options
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy
- Support the project team during the pre-construction phase and provide ongoing support during the construction phase
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management (preferred)
- 15+ years plumbing estimating experience
- Experience with healthcare projects
- Proficient in estimating software, particularly OST and QuickBid
- Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and their installation processes
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
