About the Role-Direct Hire Opportunity
FuzeHR Solutions is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our day-to-day operations. This leadership role is responsible for managing Manufacturing, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Safety functions while driving operational excellence, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management systems, transportation coordination, labor management, KPI execution, and continuous process improvement. This individual will lead supervisors and department managers, drive accountability, and ensure service-level agreements are consistently achieved while maximizing productivity and shipping accuracy.
Salary Based on Experience: $70-$75K
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Director of Operations to execute operational strategies and achieve organizational goals.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and department leaders through performance management, training, and mentorship.
- Monitor and drive operational performance through key metrics related to productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer service.
- Oversee transportation and logistics activities to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments and customer delivery requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve operational issues, inventory discrepancies, customer concerns, and process inefficiencies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to support operational consistency and continuous improvement.
- Manage labor utilization, workforce planning, and scheduling to ensure optimal staffing levels and productivity goals are achieved.
- Support the implementation of new technologies, systems, processes, and business initiatives that improve operational performance and scalability.
- Ensure operational readiness during growth periods, peak seasons, and organizational changes through proactive planning and resource allocation.
- Provide operational reporting, performance analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership regarding opportunities, risks, and operational challenges.
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the operation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience within a high-volume distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
- Proven experience managing multiple operational departments and leading large teams.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, transportation, and logistics.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, productivity gains, and process optimization initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
General Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout warehouse and production areas.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support operational needs and business objectives.
