Construction Project Coordinator - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Salary: $50K-$75K Job Summary:
Our client is an established national-scale commercial general contractor headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple commercial construction projects—ranging from retail and restaurant chains to auto, grocery, and interior fit-outs—ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As a Construction Project Coordinator/Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in managing complex projects and building strong relationships with clients and team members alike.
Required Skills:
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong experience with RFIs, contracts, submittals, estimating
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with relevant construction software
- Knowledge of sub-trades and ability to manage others
- Understanding of Critical Path Scheduling and budgeting
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Estimating and budgeting capabilities
- Familiarity with construction management software
- B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant commercial construction experience with a general contractor
- Willingness to travel to various job sites
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation for site visits and meetings
