Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The primary function of this position is to serve as a MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) Training Specialist. This position is essential in championing the adoption and utilization of the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) eProcurement system across state agencies and vendors. This role involves designing and delivering impactful training sessions and materials that enhance the knowledge and capabilities of system users, ensuring that both agency customers and vendors are equipped to effectively use MFMP tools.

 

This position is also responsible for supporting the State of Florida’s procure-to-pay processes, including strategic sourcing, contracting, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and reporting. Success requires facilitation of cross-functional, enterprise-wide process improvement teams to achieve significant and measurable benefits. This effort directly advances the agency’s mission – to deliver innovative, resource-saving solutions to continually improve customer service.

 

• Training: Champion MFMP and State Purchasing initiatives. Design and provide effective training materials and sessions to agency customers and vendors.
o Provide operational training and guidance for the use of MFMP eProcurement solutions and all applications.
o Facilitate working groups, and crafting communications to drive customer engagement. The Specialist will gather and respond to feedback from users, implement innovative strategies to enhance adoption, and provide ongoing operational guidance for all MFMP system applications.
• Research and Analysis: Independently conduct research and analysis using MFMP reporting modules and other data sources in the MFMP system to provide customer service and consultative assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Analyzes data for accuracy when generating reports and data files. Recommends solutions to identified problems.
o Works with the MFMP Help Desk Manager to review customer feedback relevant to MFMP applications; and
o Assist the MFMP Chief Learning Officer (CLO) and CLO team on annual customer survey criteria.
• Change Management: Act as an agent for change, taking a facilitative catalyst role. Train and develop business best practices in process re-engineering tools and techniques. Identify, disseminate, and promote adoption of best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Chapter 287, Chapter 215, Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.
• Professional: Oral & Written Communication, Process Improvement, Change Management.
• Technology: eProcurement (Ariba On Demand, Vendor Information Portal, and Tableau), FLAIR, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), Articulate.
• Ability to provide feedback to various stakeholders.
• Ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of the enterprise without the benefit of complete positional authority.
• Ability to manage internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to maximize use of technology to gain effectiveness and meet required deadlines.
• Ability to keep the focus on change, communicating regularly, and backing up action plans with deadlines and progress reports, and driving issues to closure.
• Knowledge of Florida procurement rules, laws and strategic sourcing processes.
• Excellent presentation, teambuilding, and leadership skills.
• Experience using presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Products, and webinar tools.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service using various media methods.
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
• Ability to interact effectively with others and maintain working relationships.
• Skill in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Skill in written and verbal communication.
• Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience in training development and/or delivery.
• Agency experience with MyFloridaMarketPlace applications (buyer, approver, or other user role) or a similar system

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional experience in procurement, project management, change management or program support.
