Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to transport construction materials, aggregates, dirt, asphalt, and other materials to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will operate dump trucks safely, follow all traffic and safety regulations, and support construction operations by ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks safely on public roads and construction sites
• Transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, dirt, and debris
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery tickets, logs, and mileage records
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
• Safely load, transport, and unload materials without spills or damage
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel
• Monitor truck condition and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Ensure proper weight distribution and secure loads according to regulations
• Assist with general labor duties when needed

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
• Previous dump truck or heavy equipment experience preferred
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices
• Ability to operate manual transmissions (if applicable)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb in and out of trucks frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving

Preferred Skills

• Experience hauling aggregates, asphalt, or construction materials
• Familiarity with local routes and construction zones
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Experience operating trailers or heavy equipment is a plus

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction and industrial job sites
• Exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and uneven terrain
• Fast-paced environment with strict delivery schedules
