Electrician Technician
This role focuses on performing the full electrical scope of work for a large, high-profile new construction resort project. You will assemble, install, and maintain electrical wiring, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools, with a strong emphasis on bending and running conduit and EMT. You will work from blueprints and schematics to install fuse boxes, panels, and other electrical components on a commercial construction site.

- Bend, run, and install conduit and EMT to a high standard of accuracy and quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and related drawings to plan and execute electrical installations.
- Install fuse boxes, panels, and other electrical components in accordance with project specifications and codes.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with wiring, terminations, panels, and high-voltage components.
- Pull wire, make terminations, and complete panel wiring in line with applicable electrical codes and standards.
- Use basic hand tools and cordless drills safely and effectively for daily tasks.
- Work independently to perform all phases of electrical work with minimal supervision when required.
- Oversee and guide a crew of helpers or installers when needed, ensuring work quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Follow all site safety requirements, including the proper use of PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Arrive on site by 6:50 a.m. each workday and complete a full 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift, working five days per week for approximately 40 hours.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth progress of the electrical scope of work on the project.
- At least 7 years of commercial new construction electrical experience, with experience remaining current within the last year.
- 8+ years of new commercial construction experience for top installers who can perform all phases of electrical work with little to no supervision.
- Strong proficiency in bending and running conduit and EMT in commercial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and related technical documents.
- Experience installing fuse boxes, panels, and other electrical components in commercial new construction.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including diagnosing issues with wiring, terminations, panels, and high-voltage systems.
- Ability to perform terminations, panel wiring, and work with electrical components safely and accurately.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, including NEC codes, and the ability to apply them in daily work.
- Capability to work independently and oversee a crew of helpers or installers when required.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from commercial jobsites.
- Ownership of everyday electrical tools, including basic hand tools and a cordless drill.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule of five days per week and approximately 40 hours, arriving on site before the start of the shift.
- Experience performing the full electrical scope of work on large, complex commercial projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks on a busy construction site while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Comfort working with high-voltage systems and a variety of electrical components.
- Experience leading or mentoring helpers and junior installers on commercial jobsites.
- Strong attention to detail when bending and running conduit, pulling wire, and performing terminations.
- Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and coordinate effectively with other trades on large projects.
- Interest in long-term project work with potential for conversion to a direct hire opportunity based on performance.

Work EnvironmentYou will work on new construction commercial jobsites throughout the Jacksonville area, including a large resort complex. The environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, and you will work in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold, as the project progresses. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and you must be on site no later than 6:50 a.m. each day. The role requires daily use of basic hand tools, cordless drills, and standard electrical tools. Personal protective equipment is mandatory and includes a Type 2 hard hat, safety glasses, safety gloves, steel-toed boots, a high-visibility vest or shirt, and working pants. The site follows commercial construction safety practices and requires consistent adherence to PPE and jobsite safety protocols.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
