TAMPA DESIGNER – ENGINEERING
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with engineers and clients to create utility relocation plans, roadway plan & profiles, sidewalk design, concept plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and record drawings using computer aided drafting and design (CADD), primarily in Microstation
- Draft, edit, and finalize drawing packages conforming to good design practices
- Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and quality
- Organize/maintain all project drawing revisions and project-related information
- Work on numerous tasks of multiple projects; the tasks are complex and require innovative, original solutions
- Work with other disciplines to provide best design solutions for clients
- Work with project engineers and other designers to revise plans according to markups and design revisions
- Oversee and mentor engineering technicians
Requirements
- 10 years of full-time experience performing CADD design work
- Strong knowledge of MicroStation ORD in a design capacity
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data files
- Experience using MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Certificate in drafting/design or Civil Engineering Technology from a technical school is preferred
