JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Staff Assistant position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Refunds Unit. The incumbent answers the mainline phone, directs calls to appropriate staff, opens, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, processes outgoing mail, scans documents, files, schedules appointments, and achieves and attends staff meetings. The incumbent also enters changes in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX), specifically the Refund Case Management System.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year of secretarial or clerical work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semesters or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
  • Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • The work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is not eligible for telework.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $2,896.67 monthly/$34,760.08 annually.
