Sodexo Live! is currently accepting applications for Host/Hostess at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, Sarasota, Florida.

The Host/ Hostess will schedule reservations, assign guests to tables suitable for the size of each group, escort them to their seats and provide them with menus. The Host/ Hostess will inspect dining and serving areas to ensure proper setup and cleanliness and may assist customers in answering questions and inquiries and in planning special events such as parties and banquets. They may further assist by handling monetary transactions and are responsible for maintaining Sodexo Live!'s standards for guest service, cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Required:

• Flexible working schedule includes nights, weekends, and holidays.  
• Must be able to communicate well with direct management, clients, and other staff.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitized and organized.
• Follow sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and/or dining areas.
• Follow all OSHA guidelines, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP) guidelines, ServSafe guidelines, and Personal Protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Comply with established Sodexo Live! standards for safe usage of kitchen equipment and general safe work practices.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  
• Serve Safe Certification required .
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.

NOTE: Other requirements will be discussed during the interview.

Job Type: Oncall Position

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00
